Being a hockey player myself. There is a major difference in blue and black pucks. The blue pucks are made mostly of plastic and he is right, they do weigh 435 grams = 4 ounces and that is pretty heavy… to a first grader.! An actual black puck made mostly of vulcanized rubber, weighs in at around 6.5 ounces. Much heavier in comparison to the blue puck which is primarily used for first and second graders so they can get used to the sport. Blend a real puck Bill Nye and see how that goes!!!
